Who is Nate Tseglin?
Nate Tseglin is a 17 y.o. boy, who lead a normal life, went to a regular
school, participated in community activities, sports and was regarded by his
teacher and friends as kind, polite and smart student. Nate is fluent in
Russia, English, Hebrew and also was studying Spanish, French, German and
Italian. Nate has been leaving with his parents and a younger brother.

What happened to Nate?
Nate's impulsive behaviors began in 2005, he had developed a system of
comfort that included isolating himself in his room or asking his parents to
apply soft restrains or remove them when he regained control over his
impulses. The environment in which they were used was always safe and didn’t
hurt him emotionally because of absence of enforcement. Indeed, he regained
his functional life back by attending school, sports, swimming, community
participation, concerts, library and living with his own family. Nate was
well on his way to recovery, slow but steady. His seizures ceased. He was
absolutely physically healthy and functional. He was not dangerous to himself
and was appropriately managed so that the community was not jeopardized. On
January 12, 2007, the CPS requested a team of four sheriffs forcefully removed
Nate from our family, against Nate’s own will. Unfortunately, it was a
tragically mistaken decision that has cost immeasurable suffering for Nate and
his family up through today. Since then his life has been completely messed
up and he is without his family vital support and advocacy. The people who
have Nate in custody force psychotropic medications on him, sometimes in
extremely high quantities. Even with significantly lower dose psychotropic
drugs that they force on him, the effect of these drugs was so devastating
that Nate was admitted few times to the ER of the different hospitals to treat
his induced life threatening condition.

What is Asperger Syndrome?
Asperger Syndrome (AS) is one of several autism spectrum disorders (ASD)
characterized by difficulties in social interaction and by restricted,
stereotyped interests and activities. AS is distinguished from the other ASDs
in having no general delay in language or cognitive development.

What is CPS (Child Protective Service) suppose to represent?
The Child Protective Services Division investigates reports of abuse and
neglect of children. It also provides services to children and families in their own homes,
places children in foster care, provides services to help youth in foster care make the transition to adulthood
and places children in adoptive homes.

an excerpt:
Dec 2006. CPS sends a social worker to Nate's home. She tells the family to
sign up and agreement for a mental evaluation of Nate by Court. The judge
ordered a phychological evaluation and aslo ordered that the custody of Nate
was to be given to CPS although he would temporarily stay with the parents.
During the hearing, the court-appointed lawyer proposed the removal of Nate
from his home and his placement in a group home. The parents did not suggest
or desire such a suggestion or outcome.
Jan 2007. Lilian Asoera, a social worker from CPS, called at 12pm. She said
that she and her co-worker Julie Weathersby were going to visit the home and
talk to Nate. She asked when the family would be home and they told her they
would be there in an hour.
Social workers Lilian Asoera and Julie Weathersby did not show up to talk to
Nate. At 2:20pm four sheriff deputies entered the Tseglin’s home, provoked
violence, and removed Nate from the apartment in handcuffs. The social workers
were waiting outside while the arrest was going on and Nate was dragged
barefoot to the police car. The sheriff deputies did not have a court order.
Instead they had a letter from Dr. Nakhshab who had never seen Nate prior to
that date and who was hired by CPS to do a psychological evaluation on Nate.
The letter bases the removal on Tarasow’s law – which relies on the premise
that the person being removed is a danger to himself and others. The question
is how this doctor knew Nate’s condition without ever having been in his
presence.

What is Habeas corpus?
In common law countries, Habeas corpus (Latin: [We command] that you have the body) is
the name of a legal action, or writ, through which a person can seek relief from unlawful detention of
himself or another person. The writ of habeas corpus has historically been an
important instrument for the safeguarding of individual freedom against
arbitrary state action.
